My family gets together on Christmas Day. We always felt that Christmas Eve should be spent with your own family, like with your partner and their family. On Christmas Day, we open presents after lunch or after dinner.
I’ve always wondered how it would feel to open Christmas presents after midnight on Christmas Eve. Going to my in-laws and going to my cousin’s house on my dad’s side I got to be part of that. The joyment of playing games, chit chatting watching Christmas movies while waiting for midnight.
I love watching the kids get impatient and watching the clock until they can open presents. To see the joy in their eyes when they finally get to open up their presents. Now that my husband Victor and I have kids were are doing the same traditions with them. We get to see their face while waiting for midnight and see their face light up when they get to open up their presents.
